Starting Something New

I’ve officially started from scratch.

Two days ago, I was looking at my website and realized I needed a revamp. I previously had a skiing theme with a cool-looking background and parallax effects — very extra. However, I found that although the site was cool to look at, it didn’t reveal a lot about me, what I’m like, and what’s going on in my life. I was definitely proud when I made the original site as it clearly showed one of my interests and showcased impressive frontend UI skills, but the snow doesn’t exactly make sense year-round and I don’t necessarily want to be a frontend developer.

I decided to switch gears by making what you’re reading right now.

I like the minimalism. Something about not having a whole lot to look at and easily being able to navigate around a site is satisfying.

But I’ve also always wanted to have a blog. It seemed ambitious when I thought about the work of updating it every now and then, and scary to realize that anyone could stumble upon it and read my posts. But, I’ve come to terms with the fact that it would be beneficial for me to be able to gather and write down my jumbled thoughts, and that, truly, not a whole lot of eyes will be reading this.

However, if one of those pair of eyes is yours, thanks for stopping by and reading!
